I can comfirm it has been 'fixed'. Tried to sync with guildies five times, the most we got on our team was 3 of our guys. Seems as though they combined all districts into one super-district or something.
Dammmmmmmmmmmmmn!

They said it was just to be able to distribute Mays points, they have to test still to see if they can make it work every month so it will still take a while

You can increase the transaction cost...but you cannot prevent people from syncing. If you think that the problem is "solved", you're naive.
Reduced, maybe. Depends on whether or not this code is as easily gamed as prior unannounced efforts to "fix" the problem. My guess is that it won't be, although I haven't fiddled with it to be sure.
Regardless, there will be ways. Even if the fix works as advertised, this WILL have unintended consequences that most of you won't like. Large organized groups of people WILL land multiple players in the same team via "random" selection, and the only way to beat that will be to fight fire with fire.

RA sync wasn't a bug,it was an exploit.
RA and other formats(Jade Quary,Fort Aspenwood,Hero Battles) always attempted to form matches with players from same languages first, and then to the international matches. So it was working "as intended".
I'm relieved it was fixed, really disappointing when u get a decent group and lose close to get 1-3glad pts.

Or how bout A.Net just bans people that try to sync after this update for exploiting a bug since thats what A.Net called it before, "a bug".
There, Problem solved.

I laughed at all of the people who said that syncing RA was a problem
Idea: if you join RA in american districts, there aren't any sync teams. Whoaaaaaa crazy idea!

Now, you don't all have to be in the same guild to do this. Without matching tags, where's your proof? And even then, you couldn't take action without numerous repeated observations. Just because two players with the same tag and cape land in the same team doesn't mean they did it on purpose. Probable? Yes. Certain? No.
All I'm getting at is that the matching mechanic is broken, there's no true "fix", and as a result it WILL be gamed.

RA syncing is still very possible. It appears that all they did was make it so that people from different districts join the queue at the same time.
I've been able to get 3 people from a group in consistently (which happened a lot before the sync fix anyway), and I've gotten all 4 about 3/7 times.
Sorry folks. Not much of a "fix".

People would just sync american RA if it was so easy. It's not, there's usually too many people there. You can do it, but it's really hard to get a full team of 4 like that, as not only must your timing must be impeccable, but you also need the 1 in 4 chance of landing the start of a new team queue. On the other hand if you can RA 100+ consecutives, there may be people that will try until they get it to work.
JQ/FA are generally dead enough (luxon side) that districts never mattered. Unlike RA they were already combined and so never had this "issue", it's only syncable due to the low number of players.

This. It amazes me that after 4 years people are still dumb enough to not bring res sigs (sins are the main culprit) and can't understand basic concepts like pressure, linebacking, kiting, and faking sigs so rangers can't dshot you.
Not to mention R/A's and E/Me's just dominate everything and are extremely annoying.

Well this shall be interesting (the change, that is).
Either the bad players will suddenly get CONSTANTLY owned by the good RAers who usually stuck to ID, or the good ones will quit and RA will become even more of a cesspool of suck.

Considering that you can still sync (it's just a little harder now), they'll get rolled by good players AND teams.

Quoted for emphasis. IT WAS NEVER A BUG. I'm fairly sure I could go get a quote from Linsey's talk page where she says the same thing.

Considering the population ratio of ad/ed to id/kd, the latter is MUCH more likely.
